The gite has been carefully renovated to keep many of its original features.

Outside: The gite has its own private garden, with BBQ and garden furniture and there is a larger play area available too. The gite is situated at the end of a countrylane, surrounded by fields.

The river Vire is only 5 minutes walk away, with a towpath leading to Pont Farcy or Tessy sur Vire and beyond. The Nid d'hibou is in an ideal location for access to the beautiful beaches of Normandy, including the famous D-Day beaches. It is an area of great historical and architectural interest, including Le Mont St Michel, Bayeux and Caen, all of which are within an hour's drive. There are many marked walks along lanes and through the forests of the bocage.
