Full terms and conditions for Le Nid d'Hibou gîte
The hirer and his/her party is referred to as you/yours and we/our refers to Le Nid d'Hibou/Richard and Sue Davis. The gîte includes the building, the private garden, play area and yard, any other area on the property where permission has been given for us and any facilities provided by us.
It is agreed that we rent the property, known as 'Le Nid d'Hibou', in Pont Farcy to you. This is a furnished residence with a capacity of 7, including two infants.
Booking, Deposit and Non-Payment
You agree to pay a non-returnable deposit of €200 on booking. Bookings for three days or less or bookings made less that six weeks before the rental begins must be paid in full at the time of booking. The full balance must be paid six weeks before your arrival date. Failure to do so may result in the gite being advertised for these dates again.
For direct booking, your payment can be made by Paypal, cash (sent by registered post only) or direct bank transfer, so long as you meet any additional charges.
Your reservation is not secure until the booking form is complete and payment is cleared. The deposit is non-refundable, so we advise you to take out holiday cancellation insurance. If you pay the balance after six weeks before the start date of your holiday and we have already re-let the gite, we will return the balance, less the non-returnable deposit. If you have any problems paying, please let us know asap.
If you cancel more than six weeks before the start of the holiday, we will keep the non-refundable deposit, but will return any other money paid. If you cancel less that six weeks before the start of the holiday, no payment will be returned (again, we suggest that you take out holiday insurance).
In the unlikely event that we have to cancel, we will firstly try to find you an equivalent, local location; in which case all monies will be returned or you may select an alternative date with us, for the same length of time, and no extra charge will be made if it falls in a higher rental category. If no alternative is found, your monies will be returned to you in full.
A security deposit of €200 must be paid during the week before your arrival; this can be paid by bank transfer, or Paypal or by cash on arrival. This deposit will be returned by bank transfer during the week after departure, following a positive inspection of the gite.

Activities offered by Sue
These activities are offered by a trained and experienced teacher. You can ask to see an up to date copy of the Bulletin 3 judiciare, which is the French equivalent of the CRB check. To be sure of availability, activities (see here for activities and prices) must be booked and paid for before the holiday begins. It may be possible to book after starting, but availability can not be assured. Children are expected to behave appropriately and respect people and property involved. That activity will be cancelled if this is not the case.
