What Can You Do?

Locally

Le Nid d'Hibou is the ideal base for all the family to enjoy a great holiday in this lovely part of France.  Located in the commune of Pont Farcy, as small village situated between Vire and St Lo, Le Nid d'Hibou is surrounded by beautiful countryside whilst being only 2 kms from the small town of Tessy sur Vire.  This little town can be reached by a 20 minute stroll along the towpath, with access to the supermarket and into the town.  Here you will have the choice of three boulangeries, a small supermarket, pharmacy, banks, post office, tabac, hairdressers and bars.

What to visit in Normandy?

We are lucky to be situated near the middle of Normandy, making most of the well-known sites easily accessible; but don't forget the lesser known sites that are tucked away, they can be stunning, too.  In Normandy you can find places of historic interest, beauty and art, landscapes changing from sandy beaches and rocky cliffs to the flat marais and rolling countryside.  There are spots for quiet reflection or daredevil exhilaration, take your pick.  A few of the high lights are shown here, other information can be found through the Normandy Tourism link and by looking through the brochures at the gite.  Don't forget to visit the depot ventes and vide greniers to pick up your french keepsake.
